YES! It's that time of the year again. Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference runs from June 7 to 11 and will take place entirely online just like last year's. The most exciting news, of course, will be announced on the 7th of June. So, what can we expect?
This year's announcements include macOS for the Macs, watchOS for the Apple Watch, iPadOS for the iPad and of course the most awaited iOS for the iPhone. It is rumoured that even there could even be a follow up to the revolutionary M1 chip.
What can we expect from iOS and iPad OS 15?
As per current leaks, you can expect to see some changes in the notification settings of your iPhone and added features to iMessage for it to compete with WhatsApp and Telegram. iPad OS 15 is rumoured to have new customisations and interactions for Widgets.
An interesting question - What will the new macOS 12 be called?
Apple fans really enjoy it when the company announces the name of its newly refreshed operating system every year. And as usual, nobody has a clue what it will be named this year. macOS Golden Gate? macOS Bay Area? Yeah, I have no idea.
What to expect from watchOS and tvOS?
Like macOS, there are hardly any leaks this year regarding watchOS and tvOS. The word on the street is that there could be an inclusion of mental health features to watchOS. Apple Watch 6's pulse oximeter along with heart rate readings could be used to detect a panic attack or high-stress levels.
Where can you watch WWDC 2021?
You can watch the entire event on Apple's website or YouTube channel on the 7th of June.
You can follow @siliconbyte on Instagram for live, real-time updates on Instagram stories.
It is hard to predict what Apple will be releasing this year as there are not many leaks. I am really, really excited about this year's event. Silicon Byte will be reporting the event this year so make sure you subscribe to the SIlicon Byte website. See you around!
